| LOCATION | At the junction of the medial third and lateral two thirds of the line between the prominence of the greater trochanter and the sacral hiatus, with the patient lying on the side and the hip flexed. |

| INDICATIONS | Sciatica, disorders of the hip joint, hemiplegia, lumbosacral pain, paralysis of the lower limbs. |
| ACTIONS | Frees the channel, dispels wind-damp, benefits the hip and leg. |
| NEEDLING | Perpendicular insertion 2 to 3 cun; the sensation may radiate down the leg. |
| MOXIBUSTION | Moxa cone 5 to 7 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 15 to 20 minutes. |
