| LOCATION | Below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra, on the posterior midline. |

| INDICATIONS | Lumbago, seminal emission, impotence, irregular menstruation, chronic diarrhoea, weakness of the lower back and knees. |
| ACTIONS | Tonifies kidney yang, warms the gate of life, strengthens the lower back. |
| NEEDLING | Oblique insertion upwards 0.5 to 1 cun. |
| MOXIBUSTION | Moxa cone 5 to 10 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 15 to 20 minutes. |
