Warm the channels, scatter cold, free the collaterals and stop pain. For cold, painful knee with limited flexion, worse in damp weather.

Combined Bi Syndrome

POINT SELECTION

Needle ST36, SP9, GB34, SP10 and ST34 with even method; add warm needling at ST34 and SP9 where cold is marked.

RATIONALE

ST36 and ST34 treat the anterior knee on the stomach channel, SP9 and SP10 the medial knee on the spleen channel, and GB34 the lateral knee on the gallbladder channel. Together they surround the joint, which is the standard approach where several channels cross the same region.
