LOCATION In the depression between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon, at the level of the tip of the malleolus.
INDICATIONS Sore throat, toothache, tinnitus, deafness, cough, asthma, irregular menstruation, insomnia, lumbago, heat in the soles.
ACTIONS Tonifies the kidney, nourishes yin, clears deficiency heat, strengthens the lower back.
NEEDLING Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
MOXIBUSTION Moxa cone 3 to 5 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 10 to 15 minutes.
