| LOCATION | 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fifth thoracic vertebra. |

| INDICATIONS | Palpitations, insomnia, poor memory, night sweats, epilepsy, mania, pain of the back. |
| ACTIONS | Nourishes the heart, calms the spirit, regulates blood. |
| NEEDLING | Oblique or transverse insertion 0.5 to 0.8 cun towards the spine. |
| MOXIBUSTION | Moxa cone 3 to 7 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 15 to 20 minutes. |
