| LOCATION | 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the eleventh thoracic vertebra. |

| INDICATIONS | Abdominal distension, jaundice, vomiting, diarrhoea, dysentery, oedema, poor appetite, weakness. |
| ACTIONS | Strengthens the spleen, harmonises the stomach, resolves damp. |
| NEEDLING | Oblique or transverse insertion 0.5 to 0.8 cun towards the spine. |
| MOXIBUSTION | Moxa cone 5 to 7 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 15 to 20 minutes. |
