| LOCATION | 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra. |

| INDICATIONS | Lumbago, enuresis, impotence, irregular menstruation, oedema, tinnitus, deafness, chronic asthma, weakness of the knees. |
| ACTIONS | Tonifies the kidney, strengthens the lower back, benefits essence and marrow. |
| NEEDLING | Perpendicular or oblique insertion 0.8 to 1.2 cun. |
| MOXIBUSTION | Moxa cone 5 to 10 cones; mild-warm moxibustion 15 to 20 minutes. |
